Are you interested in becoming a NMSIIS user? Do you want to learn more about the New Mexico immunization efforts? Information on this page can be used to begin completing requirements to become a NMSIIS user, see how to access our new public portal, and attend an online or in-person training to learn more about immunizations.
NMSIIS Read Only Access
To be granted Read Only access to NMSIIS you will need to complete the following steps:
- Complete the online training session.
- Complete the NMSIIS Read Only Access exam and attain an 80% or better passing score.
- Complete and return via email, both agreement documents and certificate of completion.
NMSIIS login credentials can only be issued once all these steps have been completed.
Once you successfully pass (80%+) the NMSIIS Read Only Access exam you will receive an email containing your completion certificate, as well as the links to the agreement documents. That email will also contain instructions and the email address you will need to return your documents to. Please ensure you have included your VFC or ORG and on your user agreement form and the level of system access being requested.
After our office receives your returned documents, please allow up to 72 hours to receive your NMSIIS login credentials.
The link to the online training can be found below and there is no limit to the number of times you can complete the online training sessions. (Please allow up to 20 minutes to complete this training.)
NMSIIS New User (Read Only) Training Course
NOTE: To expand the YouTube videos to full screen, click on the box in the lower right corner of the video.
At the end of each video, press the "Esc" button at the top left corner of your keyboard to get back to the training software. If your access to YouTube videos is blocked by your organization, you should contact your IT staff to ask for access to the NMDOH YouTube videos.
NOTE: Do Not Close or Refresh Your Browser Until You Have Completed The Training.
NMSIIS Basic User Access
To be granted Basic User access to NMSIIS you will need to complete the following steps:
- Complete the four-module online training session.
- Complete the NMSIIS Basic Skills and attain an 80% or better passing score.
- Complete and return via email, both agreement documents and certificate of completion.
NOTE: NMSIIS login credentials can only be issued once all these steps have been completed.
Once you successfully pass (80%+) the NMSIIS Basic skills exam you will receive an email containing your completion certificate, as well as the links to the agreement documents. That email will also contain instructions and the email address you will need to return your documents to. Please ensure you have included your VFC or ORG # on your user agreement form and the level of system access being requested.
After our office receives your returned documents, please allow up to 72 hours to receive your NMSIIS login credentials.

Gatekeeper Training

Community Health Worker (CHW) Training
The purpose of the Community Health Worker (CHW) Training is to ensure community health workers (CHWs) learn the skills necessary to serve their communities and target populations. Goals for CHW training are to provide education on immunizations and infectious diseases, improve cultural competency, and to promote health and disease prevention/management.
