Adult Day

The Day Services available through the State General Fund include both ‘Supported Employment ‘and ‘Day Services’. These services are available to adults age 22 or older, who have an Intellectual or Developmental Disability (IDD). Day services include supporting the individual with IDD to engage in purposeful work, learning, skill development, or community inclusion activities that are directly linked to their Individual Service Plan (ISP).

Adult Day Services provides support services that are used to promote inclusion of the individual and to use natural and generic supports in the community to increase independence. Supports may include education on self-advocacy, arrangement of transportation (non-medical), assistance with the development of choice making skills, development of natural support networks and employer negotiations.

Supported Employment Services

Supported Employment Services provides support services for individuals with IDD who are placed in community-based employment. This is a one-on-one, face-to-face support at the work site and/or on-site support of individuals in group settings. Supports may also include job development, job coaching assistance which provides skill development, and use of generic and natural supports to promote independence.
